About Us

Mountain Adventure Tours in conjunction with local outfitters

A Children's Enviro-tainment Program that seeks to educate children about the world around them.  We provide a safe and exciting environment for youth to learn about the natural world, our community and the people living in it.  MAT offers daily outdoor activities and tours for children 4-16 years old. MAT will adventure through local rivers, lakes, and streams. We also offer daily and multi-night road trips.   MAT believes that independence, responsibility and decision-making are important skills; and that children learn best by "doing".  Given freedom and responsibility, children discover who they are and where their talents lie. Campers will try new things and expand on previous skills as well as concentrate on areas that interest them in our specific camps.

Professional Partnerships

Mountain Adventure Tours takes pride in working with our favorite professional guides. That is why all of our trekking, climbing, fishing, rafting, horseback riding and rock climbing programs are run through local outfitters who have a lifetime of experience. Thanks to Sawtooth Mountain Guides, Payette River Company, Mystic Saddle Ranch, Wildhorse Creek Ranch, White Otter, Far & Away Adventures, Ruby Springs Lodge and Portas Nirvanas Alpaca Ranch for working with us for the 2010 summer.

Our Mission

Mountain Adventure Tours is a community organization seeking to enhance the lives of families who yearn for a greater sense of fellowship and adventure. By teaching and helping to foster trust and respect for our environment, Mountain Adventure Tours is able to teach a philosophy of Enviro-tainment in an effort to improve the quality of life for all who chose to live the Mountain Adventure.

Working to educate people about our environment while taking an active role in using, preserving, and restoring the wild that surrounds us.

Learning about the inner workings of businesses and how they have an effect on the surrounding community.

Immersing ourselves into new environments in hopes of learning about and working with unfamiliar cultures.

Mountain Adventure Tours is an outdoor adventure program focused primarily on character building. From our community tours at local businesses to behind the scenes work with the forest rangers in National Parks, our campers are learning the systems that drive modern society. Thus giving our children the best opportunity to understand the communities we live in and the wilderness that surrounds us.
